         YOU MIGHT HAVE WONDERED from time to time, how can people be so confident where the third party comments practically bounce off of them. Their armor is made of something invincible. Their courage is inspirational. And their command over the speech is sensational.

So where does that confidence come from?
Where do they get the self assurance from?
How do they know they are right ?


SO WHAT IS THEIR SECRET??


The simple answer to this question can be summarized in these 10 steps!!
  • STOP WORRYING AND COMPARING
  • RELAX
  • EYE CONTACT
  • DO WHAT YOU LOVE
  • LOVE YOURSELF
  • POSITIVE VIBES
  • ATELOPHOBIA?? FORGET IT EXISTS!
  • AVOID UNWANTED BODY GESTURES

 1.STOP WORRYING & COMPARING

Wow! Easier said than done right??! And saying that is easy. When you step into those shoes which sends shivers up your legs, constantly wondering what others are thinking about you, then it's time to change that!

Because strong people do not compare. they hold their own and do their own thing come what may!
Don't become an enabler, but be an empowerer!!

  2.RELAX


It's okay! Don't overtax yourself!! Go easy and go with the flow! There's no hurry or deadline to get yourself sorted because you have all the time in the world. 
Don't stress out on little things. When you get too anxious, just close your eyes and take in two deep breaths(i can totally vouch for this) and you'll be back into your old normal-paced-heart- rate in record time!

3.EYE CONTACT


One thing everyone notices and kinda gets freaked about amazing personalities is their unwavering eye contact! I mean, don't they feel awkward?? (i would have) and I did too. Maintaining eye contact does not equate to a staring contest or does not mean you look until you scare them away. It does not come easy. All of us tend to look away to escape the intensity of the situation. But practise!
Psychological studies show that maintaining a steady gaze during a conversation gives feedback regarding what the person is thinking and instills assurance in them about you being authoritative.
So go ahead and practise in front of a mirror!!!

4.DO WHAT YOU LOVE

Confidence isn't something that should pop out once in awhile and go back into hiding again! Its that something that should empower an individual and make him more in-tune  to others and his surroundings.
It is what makes him talk and act with ease in his most comfortable outlook.
The secret is love!! Yes, love!
You working on something you love invariably gives you confidence because you have all the ideas you need to have and you are in your element so to speak. So slinking in a corner because you're clueless and do not have the guts to speak up because you don't love what you're doing, are the reasons you may be lacking confidence!! so some changes are in order. Either start doing what you love or try and love what you do.

5.LOVE YOURSELF

Everyone is unique and nobody is perfect. Tired of these statements?? Well it's true!!! it may sound cliche and old school, but you are one-of-a-kind!! You are what you make yourself to be and you are the only person capable of deciding that it's not important to impress everyone.
That important person will know your worth without your input because real beauty lies in being yourself and loving yourself.
If you got anything to fix, then fix it and never give up!! It doesn't have to happen overnight. Give yourself some time to process.Know that you're not alone!!!

6.POSITIVE VIBES

How to build positive vibes again depends entirely on each individual.
Great start would be to focus your thoughts on things like "I'm starting fresh", "This isn't over, "I'll give it another go", "I know what I'm doing", "I believe in what I'm doing", "Inhale, exhale and discard the negativity". 
Building super good positive vibes is a process which takes constant reminder and exercise. So commit yourself to it. Be it for a minute or days. Stay strong in your goal!!

  • 7.ATELOPHOBIA?? FORGET IT EXISTS!
  • Whoa!! Some big and scary word there. ATELOPHOBIA basically means the fear of imperfection. In today's modern society perfection is everything so to say. But when does the pursuit to become perfect turn into atelophobia??
  • A thin line in balancing yourself by trying to be perfect but at the same time not letting it get to you.There are millions of people facing this problem due to various types of pressure.
    So don't become a prey to the senseless pressure. Believe yourself to be knowledgeable and consistent enough in the things you pursue and you'll get there automatically by not constantly worrying about it.
  • 8.UNWANTED BODY GESTURES
  • Jitters down your spine? Shaky knees?? Heart thumping away into overdrive? Constant fidgeting? A person's body movement is like an insight of the emotion they are feeling. It is easy to interpret a person's body language and what it means. So beat them at their own game. PRACTISE PEOPLE, PRACTISE!!
    Stand in front of a mirror and talk about the presentation you are about to make, or a talk down you are about to deliver to someone, and observe keenly for your body movements.
    I definitely won't say be a robot, or be Bella with a tendency to be vampire-like who had to re-learn to act human, but own it and make it happen!
     
  • 9.READ! YES, READ!!
  • All of the things I spoke about goes down the drain, flushed- like-dish-water, If you do not know what you are talking about. So know more, learn more, be on a constant hunt for how to be the best in your field, become your best version because everybody wants the best. Reach the pinnacle of said field and BHOOM!! You won't even realize the amount of interest your listeners show.Knowledge is power quoted my best friend, and I believe it!!
  • 10.SMILE!!

  • Can there really be some science behind your smile?? Each time you smile you throw happy hormones into your brain, the amazingly well known dopamine! It not only relaxes your body, but helps relieve stress and lower blood pressure.
    And your smile is contagious!
    Wait, did I get that wrong?? Its supposed to be yawning is contagious right??
    Nope, I got that right folks! Your smile spreads and you'll get a beaming one is return. It relaxes those around you and makes them more receptive to what you have to say.
    So go ahead and crack a smile. let it light your day and someone else's too!!
