6 REASONS FOR YOU TO TRAVEL MORE OFTEN!!!

August 31, 2017

We are all modern day nomads. Searching, discovering, travelling and living each day as it comes. We are certainly not like our parents who would prefer to work, stay home, and take care of the children and to save for the future. We live for the thrill and the excitement of the great unknown. We live to seek new adventures and the height of joy for us, is seeing something wondrous and be enraptured with the beauty of this planet every single second.

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail”- Ralph Waldo Emerson.

We nomads have no home; instead we rather have the road as life. Constantly seeking new company, meeting new people, forced to trust strangers and leave the comfort of home behind and be surrounded by the wilderness and the possibility of something new, fascinating and unexpected. Having to find our ways when we are lost, rather than walking the same path everyday…

6 REASONS YOU SHOULD TRAVEL MORE OFTEN!!

1.         A BREAK FROM THE MUNDANE NORMALCY

We wake up, go to work, and come back home and the cycle repeats. We have lost the essence of life in middle of technological stunts and our smart phones. We don’t connect with nature anymore and the only time we travel is when there’s a need to visit the grocery store.

By taking a break from your daily life, unplugging from the technology and by engaging in new activities you will feel refreshed and energized.

2.         LEARNING CURVE

Learning is something that never ends. Every second of our life the brain keeps learning something new. However minor it may be. The want to experience new things cannot happen within the four walls of your apartment. Get up and be spontaneous. Who knows what you’ll discover in the new journey?
Seeing the world through your own eyes is more educational than your school or college. What you’ll see are the practical aspects of life. Whatever your passion maybe, to discover a new culture, to learn a new language or cuisine, travelling wakes up the inner nomad in you.

3.         APPRECIATING LIFE.

By travelling and living out there, in the real world without being sheltered, having to face the difficulties by yourself, you’ll become self sufficient and you will definitely appreciate your life more. You’ll appreciate the park you never went to, the road you never ventured into, the path you never took and a new perspective all together.

4.         DIVERSITY IS GENEROSITY

While staying in the same place namely your hometown might feel great, you’ll grow up to live the way everyone else lived. Without a speck of knowledge about the great wonders waiting to be discovered. It shows the great diversity present all over the globe, by interacting with people and meeting new people every day.
Your senses become generous, it doesn’t just look at the new world in the same narrow way you were accustomed to, it broadens. It widens and enlightens you in every way. The way you think and talk will change. You’ll be a part of something bigger and the beauty once seen can leave a profound positive mark on you.

5.         EMPOWERS YOU, STRENGTHENS YOU

Nothing compares to travelling the globe by yourself or with another person who’s just like you. The breath of freedom, the heady sense of excitement and the great fear of getting lost but the prospect of never wanting to be found, the expectation of an adventure and the accomplishment of the journey. It all has a psychological effect on your mind. You’ll be independent in every sense of the word and you’ll feel empowered. Ready to face anything in life because you’d see things which would otherwise be missed.

6.         MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, YOU SEE THE HISTORY!!

Every place we visit has a history behind it, A story to be told and lesson to take home with. Every stone tells a tale of the energy it took to be put where it is. And the many lives that came and went while it still stands majestically.

That feeling when you see something so awe-inspiring is something very hard to come by. That feeling of feeling powerless in front of a great big monument or facing the great chasm or standing on the edge of a cliff is precious.

It invokes a deep astonishment and surprise within you, a wonder that can only be quenched by searching for more wonders out there!
